Steve's entire career has been in real estate which all began in Atlanta in 1972. Steve and his family were transferred from Atlanta to Hilton Head Island in 1982 to take the position of General Manager at Moss Creek Plantation. After a four year tenure at Moss Creek, Steve moved his family to New England where he partnered with a college room mate and began building and developing homes in western Massachusetts. The Petro's moved back to Hilton Head Island in 1990 where he became at team member of a new real estate brokerage company. In 2002, Steve joined three prominent home builders in Savannah, GA where he held the title of Director of Sales & Marketing. Steve returned to Hilton Head Island in 2009 and went back to general brokerage sales. Steve became a member of the Rick Turner Team at Gateway Realty in early 2011.
Steve and his wife JoAnne of 39 years have five grown children and three grand children (so far!).
