At Oldfield, life takes on a different pace. Here, on 860 acres along the Okatie River, a true Lowcountry community is rising in harmony with the land. A mere half-hour from Savannah, Beaufort and Hilton Head Island, Oldfield is built with respect for the land and heritage it brings. Oldfield is a true reflection of the style and spirit of this historic Lowcountry area. Those fortunate enough to enjoy ownership have discovered a home where community is more than a sense of place – it is a sense of being connected.
Noted for designing courses in concert with their natural environment Greg Norman created one of his finest golf courses at Oldfield; by crafting an outstanding route through canopies of moss draped live oaks, broad savannahs, and soaring pines up to the banks of the Okatie River. With five sets of tees, the course is as playable as it is beautiful.
The 20,000 square foot Lowcountry style Golf Club includes ladies’ and men’s lounges, a formal dining room, private dining, a mixed grill, and covered porches surveying the course and practice facility.
The Sports Club at Oldfield is home to a state of the art gym and aerobics facilities, an indoor lap pool, an outdoor resort style pool and four tennis courts.
The Outfitter’s Center is an outdoorsmen’s haven. Oldfield is blessed to employ some of the finest guides and naturalists around. From the Outfitter’s Center, they coordinate and conduct guided fishing excursions of all forms and Oldfield members also enjoy access to one of the premier wing shooting plantations in the South – Turkey Hill Plantation. In addition to a top tier sporting clay range, its 18,000 acres offer exceptional quail and duck hunts.
