Belfair is located in Bluffton, South Carolina, just minutes from Hilton Head Island and just a half hour drive from Beaufort, South Carolina, or Savannah, Georgia, on a 1,100 acre plantation, graced with century-old oaks draped in Spanish moss. Established in 1811 by the well-know William Telfair family of Savannah, Belfair was a working plantation/farm until the 1970’s. Modern development of the land began in 1995.
Belfair is an artful blending of private residential living with world-class golf in a setting of natural coastal splendor. As you enter Belfair, The Avenue of The Oaks greets and welcomes you home. Residents enjoy breathtaking views of the golden salt marshes to the Colleton River. Nature lovers enjoy spying on the native wood storks of Hidden Lake—the largest conservancy of these rare birds in the Southeast. Residents enjoy the convenience of jumping into their golf carts and heading to the course for a round of golf or the clubhouse for dinner.
Whether your golf swing is up to par or is in need of some practice, Belfair is the place to be. With two Fazio golf courses and the Jim Ferree Learning Center, Belfair is a golfer’s dream. The East Course was designed with the links courses of Scotland in mind. With deep water views, open fairways and lagoons. The West Course was designed to showcase the natural beauty of Belfair. With rolling terrain, lakes and ponds and separation of holes the beauty of this course provides a great place to have that early morning tee time.
Belfair Club Services offers an array of entertaining options for the entire family. With two dining facilities, The Grille Room and Veranda offer daily lunch menus with casual and fine dining available in the evenings. The Belfair Activity Center is where the fun begins! Offering a fitness area, pools, tennis courts and 30 miles of walking or biking trails, this area is the place to “get away from it all”.
